Kosovo Inflation Rises to 7.5 Percent in April 2026

Pristina, Kosovo – The Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) has reported an annual inflation rate of 7.5 percent for April 2026, marking a significant increase compared to the same month in the previous year. According to the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP), the monthly inflation rate was 1.1 percent. The report details a broad range of price increases across Kosovo.

The most substantial year-on-year increases were observed within the transportation sector, rising by 16.1 percent, and in housing, water, electricity, gas, and other combustible materials, which saw a 15.2 percent increase. Price increases were also noted in restaurants and accommodation services at 5.8 percent, non-alcoholic food and beverages at 5.6 percent, and alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and narcotics at 5.1 percent. Furthermore, ASK indicated that inflation extended to the health sector.

These figures reflect ongoing inflationary pressures within Kosovo. The agency’s data provides a key indicator of the economic situation and continues to monitor price changes across various sectors.
