Serbian authorities are investigating a man for allegedly promoting the Hungarian government and its alignment with Russia and Islam. Mario Bojiq, a YouTube content creator, is the subject of the investigation. Bojiq produces approximately 130,000 videos focusing on the activities of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, particularly his work within the European Parliament in Budapest.
According to Hungarian Minister of Justice Gabor Hunyadi, the Serbian government has proposed that Bojiq be arrested. Hunyadi stated this suggestion was accompanied by a request for the Kremlin to facilitate the arrest. He indicated that the discussion centered around Bojiq’s involvement with a pro-Orban government channel on YouTube, which disseminates what Hunyadi described as “conspiracy and propaganda.”
As of the current date, Bojiq has not been formally arrested.
The investigation is ongoing, with Serbian authorities examining Bojiq’s online content and assessing the potential implications of his work. Details regarding the specific accusations against Bojiq remain under review.
