Investigations continue at the third location in Zubin Potok, the prosecutor appears on site

The Special Prosecutor’s Office of Kosovo has confirmed that intensive investigations concerning alleged war crimes are currently underway in the municipality of Zubin Potok. These efforts are being conducted in coordination with the Kosovo Police. To date, authorities have apprehended three individuals who are suspected of committing war crimes against the civilian population.

The scope of the inquiry has led to searches across several different locations within the area. Significant findings have been reported regarding human remains. Specifically, in the village of Jabukë, remains were discovered and are slated to undergo comprehensive medico-legal examinations, including DNA analysis, to facilitate identification.

Further details provided indicated that four bodies were recovered from a newly identified mass grave site. Furthermore, excavation work continues in the village of Kalludër e Vogël, and active investigations are proceeding at a third separate location. The Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that the responsible prosecutor has been present at these scenes to oversee the ongoing work.
