The Iranian judiciary announced the execution of another individual linked to the nationwide protests that occurred in January. According to reports, Majid Adineh was executed following his arrest during the unrest. Iranian media indicated that Adineh was apprehended on January 9 in the Mohamadshahr area of Karaj.
The Iranian judiciary accused Adineh of several charges, including collaborating with “hostile groups,” the United States, and Israel, as well as inciting war. Authorities further claimed that upon his arrest, Adineh was in possession of various items, which reportedly included “a Colt-type pistol, three magazines, 30 bullets, two tear gas canisters, an electric baton, and a bottle of gasoline.”
The judiciary stated that the sentence against Adineh was upheld after an appeal before the Supreme Court, and the execution took place on the morning of [date incomplete]. This marks another instance of an individual connected to the January protests being executed by Iranian authorities.
