Hajri Robi, a 68-year-old man from Durrës, has died following a deterioration of his health. He passed away early this morning at the University Clinical Center “Mother Teresa,” where he was being treated in intensive care. Robi was arrested on March 12th after allegedly engaging in domestic violence against one of his sisters.
The sister had visited his home, shared with another sister, to offer assistance. Twelve years prior, Robi attempted suicide by ingesting gasoline in the city center. Those who knew him described a return from emigration marked by depression, a condition that reportedly worsened over time.
A quiet atmosphere has settled over the family home this afternoon. Neighbors described the family as “very good, very intelligent and positive people.” They noted the challenges faced by the family.
