A two-day workshop focused on the state of the education system in Kosovo was held on August 21 and 22, 2026, in Brezovica. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science and brought together key stakeholders, including ministry representatives, municipal education directors, and members from the Albanian Trade Union Federation (SBASHK). The primary objective of the gathering was to address the current challenges facing the educational sector and to identify opportunities for enhanced collaboration among various institutions.

The opening panel featured prominent figures, including the Minister of Education and Science, Hajrullah Çeku; the Chairman of the Albanian Trade Union Federation, Rrahman Jasharaj; and the Head of the College of Municipal Education Directors, Muhamet Gjoka. Participation from the Albanian Trade Union Federation was notable, with Blendor Shatri joining Rrahman Jasharaj to contribute to the discussions and articulate the union’s perspectives. Throughout the sessions, a recurring theme was the critical necessity of robust institutional cooperation to improve the sector.

Participants engaged in discussions aimed at developing actionable strategies to navigate the complexities of the education system. The workshop served as a platform for dialogue among government bodies, local education authorities, and labor representatives. By convening these diverse groups, organizers sought to foster a unified approach to resolving systemic issues and advancing educational standards across Kosovo.
