American security expert Edward P. Joseph has expressed serious concerns regarding the escalating Kosovo conflict and its potential impact on regional stability and U.S. security.
In a statement to CNN, Joseph indicated that the United States is deploying a significant number of troops to Kosovo to avert a major escalation of the ongoing situation. Speaking with Kosovo-based media outlet “Rretheqark,” Joseph reiterated the U.S. intention to intervene and prevent further escalation.
He specifically referenced deployments to the Bashkuara region alongside the efforts in Kosovo. Joseph’s comments also included a critique of previous U.S. administration policies, particularly those under the Donald Trump administration.
He stated that the troop deployments were a response to perceived actions taken during that period. “The United States is sending troops to Kosovo to prevent a major escalation of the conflict. The United States is sending troops to the Bashkuara region to prevent a major escalation of the conflict,” Joseph emphasized.
He further noted the involvement of the Department of State and Congress in these strategic decisions.
