Kosovo Customs discovers over 54 thousand euros in undeclared goods

Kosovo customs authorities seized an amount of undeclared currency exceeding 54,000 euros during a vehicle inspection conducted at the Kola border crossing. According to the official customs notice, the vehicle was chosen for a thorough examination in the second inspection lane. During this process, customs officers discovered a combination of cash in euros and other foreign currencies.

Upon converting the various amounts according to the official exchange rate, the total value of the undeclared cash was determined to be over 54,000 euros. The customs notice detailed that the discovery was made while officers were inspecting a vehicle selected for examination in the second lane. In compliance with established legal procedures, customs authorities confiscated 25% of the undeclared sum.

This confiscation amounted to over 13,500 euros. The seizure underscores the routine enforcement activities carried out by customs officials at the border. The operation highlights the consistent vigilance of customs personnel in monitoring the movement of currency across the border.
