Krasniqi announced the removal of registration fees for the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian communities.

The Minister of the Ministry for Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, has confirmed that free registration will be available once more for Romani, Ashkali, and Egyptian communities this year. This initiative is designed to foster greater inclusion and ensure equal access to local government services. Through a public announcement on Facebook, Krasniqi has proposed designating April as a dedicated month for this free registration process.

“Driven by the desire for complete inclusion, proper representation, and equal access to municipal services – mirroring past efforts – I’ve decided to offer free registration for the Romani, Ashkali, and Egyptian communities this year,” Krasniqi explained. He underscored the importance of local authorities establishing appropriate resources and offering comprehensive details to all citizens. Krasniqi stressed that municipalities must actively create supportive environments and furnish complete information throughout the registration process.

The goal remains consistent: to guarantee that these communities can fully participate and benefit from municipal services. Krasniqi’s commitment reflects a continued focus on promoting equitable access and strengthening the integration of these communities within local governance.
