Krasniqi for Vetëvendosje: They have no shame for the diaspora; they are not even returning to us as if we are dead.

During an appearance on T7’s program “Pressing,” Dardan Krasniqi, representing AAK, voiced strong concerns regarding the perceived lack of consideration shown by the government toward the Albanian diaspora. Krasniqi asserted that the current administration does not adequately acknowledge the sacrifices made by those who have relocated abroad to build their lives. Speaking about his own experiences, Krasniqi noted that he spent three and a half years living in Finland.

He stated that this firsthand exposure allowed him to understand the significant hardship endured by many members of the diaspora. To illustrate the depth of this struggle, he recounted instances of personal loss and difficulty, such as the challenges faced when dealing with the remains of deceased relatives. Furthermore, Krasniqi directed specific criticism toward Viktor Buzhala of the Vetëvendosje Movement.

He cautioned Buzhala against interfering in these matters, pointing out that Buzhala himself has previously produced videos that, in Krasniqi’s view, were insulting toward the community abroad. Krasniqi maintained that the current political climate demonstrates a disregard for the contributions and suffering of the diaspora. His remarks centered on the need for greater respect and recognition for the efforts of those who have established lives outside of Albania.

  2. What specific actions or policies does Krasniqi suggest the government should implement to better acknowledge the Albanian diaspora?
