KRU Hidromorava warns measures against misusers of drinking water in Zhegër

The Regional Water Supply Company (KRU) Hidromorava has issued a public appeal emphasizing the need for responsible consumption of drinking water. This call follows recent inspections conducted in the village of Zhegër, where the company observed multiple instances of water misuse. According to a statement from KRU Hidromorava, field teams documented the use of potable water for purposes beyond basic domestic needs.

Specifically, the water was observed being utilized for washing streets, cleaning vehicles, and for irrigation. These activities occur during a period when the overall demand for water supply is already high. The company reiterated that any use of water that exceeds essential household requirements, alongside any unauthorized connection to the water supply network, constitutes a breach of current regulations.

Such actions, KRU Hidromorava noted, negatively impact the reliable supply of water to all consumers. The utility stressed that adherence to established guidelines is crucial for maintaining equitable distribution. Misuse of water resources strains the local infrastructure and affects the availability of water for the entire community.

Residents are urged to exercise caution and restrict water usage to essential needs to support the ongoing management of the local water supply system by KRU Hidromorava.
