Kurti after the establishment of the Office for the Protection of Human Rights in the North: Discrimination has come to an end.

New Ministry of Agriculture Office Opens in Mitrovica North

Mitrovica North – The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development inaugurated its new office today, located in the former building previously used as the Serbian Post office. The building ceased operations on November 22, 2024. Prime Minister Albin Kurti was present at the opening ceremony, emphasizing the significance of the new facility.

Kurti stated that the establishment represents the end of discriminatory practices and ensures all citizens, regardless of ethnicity, will have equal access to ministry services. Approximately 32,000 farmers across Kosovo receive support from the Ministry of Agriculture, with roughly 10% of this group belonging to the Serbian community. The newly established office is intended to be regional in scope, providing comprehensive services to all farmers.

“This ministry office offers comprehensiveness, ensuring no one is left behind or excluded,” Kurti explained. “Furthermore, it provides equal opportunities for all farmers to access the support they need.”

The opening of the office in Mitrovica North is a key step in the government’s efforts to improve agricultural services and support for farmers throughout the region.
