Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has announced his intention to support the continued celebration of the Pasha’s Feast, a tradition observed by both Catholic and Protestant communities. Speaking earlier this year, Kurti stated his commitment to preserving the historical significance of the event, encompassing the region, churches, associated sacrifices, and charitable donations linked to the feast. Kurti emphasized the importance of a unified and respectful observance of the Pasha’s Feast.
He proposed that the celebration should continue annually, following the year of the Pasha’s death. The Prime Minister suggested gathering family and friends to commemorate the event together. According to Kurti, the Pasha’s Feast marks the commencement of the year following the Pasha’s death.
He articulated a vision for the celebration to be conducted with solidarity and mutual respect among all participants. The announcement reflects a dedication to maintaining this longstanding cultural and religious tradition within Kosovo.
