Kuwait reopened its airspace and resumed flights.

Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways to Resume Flights Following Airspace Reopening

Kuwait Airways will restart flights to a range of international destinations from Kuwait International Airport starting Sunday, following the reopening of Kuwait’s airspace. This resumption is part of a phased approach to restoring air traffic operations, as announced by the state news agency. The airline will operate flights to 17 destinations from Terminal 4.

Simultaneously, Jazeera Airways will resume flights to nine destinations, utilizing Terminal 5. Kuwait’s airspace had been closed since February 28 due to the conflict with Iran. During this period, the international airport and surrounding areas experienced repeated attacks.

The Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that the reopening represents a key step in a carefully planned, gradual return to full operational capacity. This development marks a significant step in the recovery of Kuwait’s aviation sector. Authorities emphasized that the reopening is the initial phase of a broader plan to fully restore air traffic services.

The resumption of flights highlights Kuwait’s commitment to rebuilding its connectivity and facilitating international travel. The focus remains on a secure and controlled return to normal operations within the airspace.
