LAMM: Up to 45 minutes wait at the Tabanoc border crossing

According to the Automobile and Motorcycle Association of the Republic of Macedonia, travel conditions on state roads are currently proceeding without reported issues, provided the surfaces remain dry. The association noted an increase in general traffic intensity on routes situated outside of major urban centers. Regarding international crossings, delays were specifically reported at the Tabanovce border point for vehicles exiting the country, where waiting times were estimated at approximately 45 minutes.

Conversely, other designated border points on the Macedonian side reported minimal delays for both entry and exit procedures. In light of current travel conditions, lamm issued several recommendations to ensure driver safety. These include maintaining regulated speeds, strict adherence to all established traffic signaling, and exercising heightened caution while operating vehicles.

Particular attention is advised for driving on roads traversing valleys, river valleys, and steep slopes, due to the persistent possibility of mudslides. The association highlighted several specific sections where increased vigilance is necessary. These include the stretches between Katllanovë and Veles, Mavrovë and Dibër-Strugë, Vinicë and Berovë, and Koçan and Delčevo.

Drivers are urged to plan their journeys accordingly and remain aware of changing environmental conditions when navigating these key transportation corridors.
