Police authorities announced the discovery of a substantial cache of illicit narcotics within an abandoned basement facility located in the Aerodrom Municipality. According to reports, officers from the Illegal Trade Unit of the Skopje Police Department conducted an operation on August 7, 2026. During the preliminary investigation, the officers uncovered a large quantity of various types of drugs concealed in the building’s basement area.
The seized materials included white substances found in lumps, hallucinogenic mushrooms, and a bag containing a considerable quantity of tablets identified as ecstasy and marijuana. Additionally, three digital scales were recovered at the scene. The Ministry of Public Security (MPB) confirmed that the investigation is ongoing to achieve a full clarification of the circumstances surrounding the find.
Authorities stated that appropriate legal charges will be filed following the completion of their investigation into the seized drugs and the premises. The discovery highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat illegal drug trafficking within the region.
