LDK in Ferizaj near Abdixhi, Azemi criticizes extradition requests

Visar Azemi, the Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo Branch in Ferizaj, addressed recent calls from certain party branches advocating for the removal of the LDK chairman, Lumir Abdixhiku, following the outcomes of the September 7 elections. Azemi asserted that the current situation does not warrant using public demands to address perceived shortcomings at the local level. In his statement, Azemi criticized the timing and basis of the calls for change.

He noted that instead of focusing on the leadership, the attention should be directed toward individual accountability within the party structure. Azemi stated that the demand for the chairman’s removal was premature and misplaced. He emphasized that the responsibility for the results across various branches must first be addressed internally.

Azemi urged every member to conduct a personal assessment of their contributions, questioning whether they have done enough to bolster the LDK during the recent electoral period. The statement highlighted a distinction between organizational failures and the removal of the party chairman. Azemi suggested that the focus should shift from demanding the ousting of the leadership to ensuring that every individual member fulfills their obligations to strengthen the party.

The Chairman’s remarks underscored a call for internal reflection rather than immediate punitive action against the top leadership structure.
