LSDM has accused the Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrievska Koçoska, of stalling progress regarding necessary European Union reforms. The party questioned the Minister’s discussion about redirecting European funds to designated “reform leaders,” demanding clarification on what specific reforms are being prioritized. Critics pointed to previous commitments, noting that certain reforms, originally slated for completion by June 1st, have received little public attention.
Furthermore, they referenced a past one-year non-payment period in 2025, which was reportedly linked to the failure to fulfill prior obligations. The group questioned the current deadlines and the overall trajectory of the reform agenda. A key concern raised is that the failure to implement these reforms could jeopardize Macedonia’s inclusion in the EU’s seven-year plan.
In response to the Minister discussing “larger funds” and Macedonia’s role among reform leaders, LSDM provided a comparative analysis. They noted that Montenegro is slated to receive €3.2 billion, contrasting this with the figure of 65.7 mentioned for Macedonia, thereby questioning the scope and substance of the proposed financial support for the necessary reforms.
