Rahovec, a father dissatisfied with his child’s school results, is suspected of having attacked the school principal.

An incident involving alleged threats occurred in Rahovec on July 1, 2026, stemming from a dispute regarding a child’s academic performance. Reports indicate that a parent became reportedly dissatisfied with the academic results from the local school and subsequently threatened the school principal over the telephone. Police spokesperson Vlera Krasniqi of the Gjakova Region confirmed the details of the case.

Krasniqi stated that on July 1, 2026, a woman reported receiving threats from a man via phone call. Authorities subsequently took the suspected individual to the Police Station in Rahovec for questioning. Following the initial investigation, and in coordination with the state prosecutor’s office, a formal case concerning the crime of threat was initiated.

Krasniqi noted that although charges were filed, the individual was later released according to standard procedure. This action was corroborated by the Gjakova Prosecutor’s Office, which confirmed that criminal proceedings had been opened regarding the alleged threat. The incident highlights a dispute that arose after the parent was reportedly dissatisfied with the academic standing of the student at the school.

The involvement of both local police and the state prosecutor confirms the official handling of the alleged threat made in Rahovec.
