The State Police have announced the conclusion of a significant police operation, designated “Fast.” This major undertaking was executed by the Search Sector (FAST Albania), which operates under the Directorate of Special Operational Forces. According to the police report, a 39-year-old man, identified as G.H., was apprehended in the Malësi e Madhe region. The operation followed intelligence gathering and operational coordination with international counterparts in Spain.
The stated objective was the location and capture of citizens wanted by foreign authorities. Specialists from the Search Sector (FAST Albania), part of the Directorate of Special Operational Forces within the Criminal Police Department, collaborated with the DVP Shkodër to finalize the operation. As a direct result of these coordinated efforts, the police located and took custody of the man in Malësi e Madhe.
The 39-year-old man was reportedly wanted in Spain due to allegations involving drug trafficking and connections to criminal organizations. The successful execution of this cross-border operation highlights the cooperation between Albanian law enforcement agencies and international partners in addressing transnational crime.
