According to reports from MPB Macedonia, an operation was conducted on August 8, 2026, around 10:00 PM, involving the Section for Unlicensed Drug and Weapons Trade near the Shtip Police Station. The police apprehended two individuals, identified as M.B. and M.Xh.U., both aged 24 and originating from Turkey, who were temporarily residing in the Shtip area.
The incident involved the alleged sale of marijuana to a local resident, F.R., aged 23, from Shtip. During the initial encounter, F.R. was detained, and marijuana was recovered from his person.
M.B. and M.Xh.U. initially managed to evade capture.
However, the police successfully apprehended M.Xh.U. shortly thereafter. Upon his detention, authorities found marijuana and a knife in his possession.
Following the incident, the public prosecutor and the pre-trial court were notified of the events. Subsequently, police officers proceeded to M.B.’s residence. At this location, they discovered a third individual, A.B., aged 21, who was also from Turkey and staying in the vicinity.
The operation highlighted ongoing efforts by the police to address illicit drug activity within the Shtip region.
