KEDS Workers Replace Outdated Electricity Meters in Shkodër
Shkodër, Albania – On Wednesday, April 4th, 2026, IKD-së employee Ehat Miftaraj published photographs showing workers from KEDS replacing electricity meters at a facility in the Prekazi neighborhood. Miftaraj stated that the team working on the replacement noted the meters were installed in 2010 and require replacement every ten years. According to the workers, the age of the meters contributed to inaccurate tracking of electricity consumption, leading to higher electricity bills.
The KEDS team dispatched an equipment replacement crew to the Prekazi street location to address the issue. The workers reported that the meters were initially installed in 2010 and require regular replacement to ensure accurate measurement of energy usage.
