Molliqaj: Abdixhi has the LDK in the service of the Court

Dardan Molliqaj, the leader of the Social Democratic Party, has publicly criticized the direction of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) under the leadership of Lumir Abdixhiku. According to Molliqaj, Abdixhiku and a select group of politicians have positioned the LDK to advance interests that, in his view, primarily benefit the current Prime Minister, Albin Kurti. In his statements, Molliqaj also referenced President Vjosa Osmani, alleging that these actions are contributing to the potential election of both the president and the government outside of established constitutional timelines.

He asserted that the LDK’s current trajectory suggests it is operating for the benefit of narrow, vested interests rather than the broader mandate of the Parliament. Molliqaj stated that the party, under the current leadership, has shifted its focus. He characterized the LDK as having become an entity whose primary function is to serve a specific political pole.

The opposition leader maintained that the LDK’s actions undermine institutional balance by prioritizing select agendas. Overall, Molliqaj’s critique suggests that the LDK is not functioning as a fully independent parliamentary force. He contends that the party’s current alignment means its efforts are being utilized in a manner that does not align with the general interests of the legislative body, pointing to a perceived misuse of the party’s platform for partisan gain.
