Several independent engine manufacturers have produced miniature engines closely resembling the popular Stirling kit engines. These replicated engines share key characteristics with the original Stirling designs, primarily focusing on a consistent 23 cubic centimeter displacement. Each of these engines operates with a functionally similar design to the standard Stirling kit engines.
They feature twelve valves and a maximum speed of 10,000 revolutions per minute (rpm). The engines are created in a 1:5 scale, mirroring the original Stirling models. Notably, the specifications of these replicated engines align closely with those of the iconic Toyota 2JZ engine, a frequently modified and highly regarded performance vehicle.
The 2JZ engine is known for its top speed of 12,000 rpm. These miniature engines are produced by multiple companies, demonstrating the enduring appeal and design influence of the original Stirling kit engines. The replicated versions offer a scaled-down representation of a well-known engine, retaining the core technical specifications of the original.
