Authorities have specifically noted that these malicious communications are designed to appear as official notifications from the Department of Motor Vehicles, purportedly originating from the ‘Safe City’ system.
The objective of these attacks is to deceive citizens into clicking fraudulent links embedded within the fake messages. Upon clicking, users are allegedly redirected to unauthorized portals where they are coerced into making payments for supposed traffic violations. The Ministry strongly urges the public to exercise extreme caution when engaging with online content.
It is critical that citizens refrain from opening any suspicious links or responding to unsolicited messages. Furthermore, the advisory stresses the absolute necessity of never sharing sensitive personal data, such as bank card numbers, passwords, or personal identifiers, through any unverified or unauthorized digital channel.
