New couple from Switzerland moves to Kosovo and opens a family camp: “We haven’t been disappointed a single day”

A young couple, who previously resided and worked in Switzerland, has relocated to Kosovo to establish a family-run camping site. Lora, 23, and her partner, along with their son, moved to Kosovo after making a significant life change. Utilizing a family property, they developed the campsite, which currently accommodates visitors from various locations.

Speaking to the Swiss media outlet 20 Minuten, Lora addressed the decision to leave Switzerland. She stated that while the move was difficult, the family has not regretted the decision. According to her, life in Kosovo has provided a greater sense of peace and increased time spent with the immediate family.

She noted that the environment in Kosovo allows her son to grow up in a healthy setting, close to his grandparents and immersed in nature. The move represents a deliberate shift in lifestyle, prioritizing a different kind of community and environment over their previous life in Switzerland. The establishment of the camping site serves as the center of their new venture in Kosovo.

The move underscores a commitment to building a life centered on their family unit within the natural landscape of Kosovo.
