The reconstruction efforts at Ohrid Airport are reportedly advancing according to the established timeline. According to statements made by Deputy Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikolloski, the progress across the site is estimated to be between 80 and 90 percent. Nikolloski confirmed that the project is on track to meet its designated completion deadline by the end of the summer season.
The Minister detailed that the revitalization involves the simultaneous execution of four distinct projects, all of which are proceeding satisfactorily. He stated, “We have four projects developing in parallel. The progress is somewhere between 80 and 90 percent in each of them.
The deadline we have set for completion is the end of the summer, and I believe this deadline will be respected.”
Beyond the physical reconstruction, the focus is shifting toward operational readiness. Nikolloski added that, commencing on August 15, several key governmental and aviation bodies will begin their respective integration work. These agencies include the Civil Aviation Agency, Air Traffic Control, M-NAV, the National Security Agency, Customs, and the Ministry of Public Buildings (MPB).
This coordinated effort is designed to ensure that all necessary systems and administrative functions are fully functional upon the airport’s reopening, solidifying the successful completion of the Ohrid Airport reconstruction.
