Ninety-seven percent of patients mismanage their time, Azemi reveals how he obtained the data.

Concerns are escalating in Kosovo regarding the reliability of electricity meters, particularly amidst ongoing pressures on household and business finances due to rising energy costs. Public opinion is increasingly skeptical, fueled by accusations surrounding meter operation and its effect on billing statements. During a discussion on the “Përballje Podcast,” Visar Azemi from LDK strongly criticized the functioning of these meters, asserting their influence on energy charges.

He highlighted a study involving hundreds of samples, revealing substantial inaccuracies in time measurement. Azemi stated, “I have researched 884 samples… 87 percent of them measure time incorrectly, and this was the initial alarm.” He engaged in a conversation with Telegrafi’s editor-in-chief, Muhamet Hajrullahu, detailing the findings. The doubts surrounding inflated billing are directly connected to the prevailing electricity tariffs.

Azemi explained that the issue stems from the rates themselves, and the research reveals a critical problem with the accurate recording of time. This investigation by Azemi effectively reveals the extent of the concern.
