Ninety shipments of goods without documentation seized in Skopje; two people detained

Police in Skopje detained two individuals on June 22, 2026, after an inspection of a vehicle on the “Adriatic Highway” revealed multiple violations. The stop occurred at approximately 10:50 PM when police units intercepted a Ford vehicle bearing Skopje license plates. During the inspection, authorities discovered a significant quantity of undeclared merchandise.

Specifically, the vehicle was found transporting approximately 90 separate shipments of various products, which were contained in black bags. Police determined that these goods lacked the requisite official documentation for transport. In addition to the undeclared cargo, the driver was found to be operating the vehicle without possessing a valid Category B driver’s license.

The owner of the vehicle was identified as E.Sh., a 20-year-old resident of Skopje. Following the detailed investigation into the undocumented shipments and the driver’s licensing status, both individuals were detained by law enforcement and subsequently transported to the police station for further processing. The incident highlights ongoing enforcement efforts regarding commercial transport regulations within the region.
