OBRM-PDUKM accuses Zaevin of connections involving corruption with the businessman Davidoviq.

Zaev and the LSDM have repeatedly refuted the existence of audio recordings detailing alleged payments. Specifically, Miodrag Davidoviq – known as Daka – supposedly received 300,000 euros and 2,000 square meters of land from Zoran Zaev. The ruling coalition, OBRM-PDUKM, maintains that Zaev’s representative, Zoran Mileski – Kiçeeç, leveraged publicly available 2020 audio recordings to pressure the pro-Russian businessman, Daka.

According to the coalition, Daka, under duress, provided these assets in exchange for a particular business service. The recordings purportedly demonstrate Daka informing Kiçeeç that the funds given to Zaev were utilized for the referendum on the name change. This situation extends to the former General Secretary of Zaev’s Government, Dragi Rashkovski, further highlighting what the OBRM-PDUKM perceives as corruption within the previous administration.

The ongoing dispute centers around these recordings and the allegations surrounding Zaev’s actions. The coalition continues to assert that the evidence clearly implicates Zaev in illicit dealings, while Zaev and his party steadfastly deny any wrongdoing related to the recordings and the involvement of Daka.
