The Kosovo Chamber of Commerce has publicly urged the current government to implement immediate measures designed to support local farmers, producers, and processors across Kosovo. During a meeting held on Wednesday, the Chamber convened with representatives from the Kosovo Producers’ Association and local farmers, where significant concerns regarding recent directives issued by the Ministry of Agriculture were voiced. Lulzim Rafuna, Chairman of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the necessity for governmental bodies to exercise caution with every administrative declaration and action impacting local producers.
The Chamber stressed that the agricultural sector requires substantial and timely intervention. In addition to calling for supportive fiscal policies, the Chamber made a specific request to the AUV (Albanian University of Veterinary Medicine) to publish independent and professional analyses concerning “Vita” milk at the earliest opportunity. The collective sentiment expressed by the participants indicates a demand for greater governmental stability and tangible support mechanisms.
The core message delivered by the Chamber was a call for the government to take immediate action through fiscal policies to stabilize and enhance the operational environment for farmers and processors within Kosovo.
