One death and 318 cases treated at the University Hospital Center over the last 24 hours

Over the past 24 hours, the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK) reported one fatality and the management of 318 patient cases at its Emergency Center. According to the facility’s comprehensive 24-hour report, patient volume was highest across multiple specialized departments within the emergency care setting. The Internal Medicine Emergency Department handled the largest volume of patients, reporting 96 cases treated.

Following this, the Orthopedic Emergency Department managed 66 cases, while the Surgical Emergency Department treated 64 patients. Additionally, 24 patients required care in the small room facility, receiving treatment primarily for wound stitching, cleaning, and general processing. Collectively, the data illustrates a high operational tempo within the facility’s emergency services.

Regarding the nature of the injuries requiring attention, the report specifically noted that 22 of the individuals presenting for care were injured as a result of traffic accidents. These figures provide a detailed overview of the spectrum of medical needs encountered and the capacity of the QKUK to treat diverse patient populations presenting to the emergency department over the reporting period.
