One month after the elections, the Central Election Commission certifies the final results today

The Central Election Commission (KQZ) is set to convene its regular meeting today, beginning at 11:00 AM. The primary agenda item for the session will be the certification of the final results from the early parliamentary elections held on April 7. This meeting occurs approximately one month after the conclusion of the electoral process, as today marks a full month since the voting day.

KQZ spokesperson Valmir Elezi confirmed the schedule, noting that the meeting was arranged subsequent to a ruling issued by the Supreme Court regarding various complaints filed concerning the electoral procedures. Elezi stated, “I inform you that on Wednesday (April 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM), the Central Election Commission will hold its regular meeting. On the agenda is the certification of the final results of the early elections for the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo, which were held on April 7.”

The confirmation indicates that the Commission’s proceedings are scheduled for today, one month after the initial elections.

The certification of these results is expected to finalize the parliamentary composition following the recent vote. The meeting’s timing follows the judicial review process, ensuring that the results are validated after the Supreme Court addressed the concerns raised about the electoral period.
