A pedestrian was fatally struck in the village of Llabjan, located in Novobërdë, following a serious traffic incident. According to police reports, the victim was involved in a sequence of collisions, being struck initially by one vehicle and subsequently by a second. Authorities confirmed that the incident involved two separate cars.
The initial account detailed that a Kosovar male driver reportedly hit the pedestrian due to carelessness. Moments later, the same person was subsequently struck by a second vehicle, driven by another Kosovar male. As a direct result of the cumulative impact, the pedestrian died at the scene.
Following the incident, the local prosecutor’s office directed that the body be transported to the Institute of Forensic Medicine (IML) for a full autopsy. Furthermore, law enforcement took immediate action, arresting the two drivers involved in the accident and taking them into custody. The investigation centers on the sequence of events that led to the fatality.
Authorities are currently examining the circumstances surrounding how the person sustained injuries from both vehicles. The two drivers have been detained pending further investigation into the negligence that led to the pedestrian being hit multiple times.
