Tirana – Following a protest held in Tirana on Friday, April 17, 2026, eleven individuals have been arrested by police. Authorities seized forty-five molotov cocktails, which they believe were intended to escalate the situation and potentially target law enforcement and state institutions. The police reported that protesters engaged in opposition and attacks against officers during the gathering.

Following the incidents, eleven individuals were taken into custody. Additionally, fifteen other citizens are currently undergoing criminal proceedings related to the events.
