The Kosovo Police, in collaboration with Kosovo Customs, conducted an operation aimed at deterring illicit cross-border activities. During this effort, authorities in Bërnjak identified an individual found to be carrying undeclared monetary instruments. According to an official statement released by the Kosovo Police, a suspected vehicle bearing Serbian license plates was stopped.
The vehicle was reportedly being operated by a male suspected of Serbian nationality. During the subsequent inspection of the vehicle and its occupants—the driver and a passenger—monetary instruments were discovered within the passenger’s bag. The seized funds comprised an amount totaling 25,515 euros, alongside dinars equivalent to 4,813 euros.
This brought the combined total of undeclared currency to 30,328 euros. Procedural actions have been initiated in connection with this case by the police. The operation highlights the ongoing efforts by the Kosovo authorities to enforce border regulations and combat illegal economic activities.
The seizure of the undeclared funds underscores the cooperation between law enforcement agencies in maintaining compliance with national financial regulations across the border.
