Pacolli: Court decisions must be implemented and the operation of Vlorë International Airport must be allowed

Businessman and investor Behgjet Pacolli has voiced renewed concerns regarding the operational status of the Vlorë International Airport, asserting that access remains obstructed despite final judicial decisions. According to Pacolli, the previously enforced “security measures” have been deemed legally baseless by the courts; however, the physical blockade of the airport’s access persists. In his statement, Pacolli emphasized the necessity of upholding the rule of law.

“We continue to demand only one thing: the enforcement of the law, respect for court decisions, and the protection of a strategic investment worth hundreds of millions of euros, in the interest of Albania and its citizens,” Pacolli stated. He urged the responsible state institutions to facilitate the commencement of operations at the Vlorë International Airport in adherence to the established contract. Pacolli’s comments underscore a continued dispute over the airport’s accessibility, despite the legal rulings that have supposedly cleared the path for its resumption of services.

The investor’s focus remains on ensuring that the judicial determinations are implemented without further impediment, thereby safeguarding the substantial financial investment in the infrastructure. His appeal directs attention to the need for immediate action from relevant authorities to allow the airport to resume its commercial activities.
