Parking at the Clinical Center, Aliu: We have offered alternative solutions down to solving the problem

Despite the Ministry of Health signing a contract with City Parking for the development of new parking facilities on March 7 of this year, patients accessing the “Nënë Tereza” Clinical Center continue to report significant difficulties regarding available parking spaces. During an interview with TV Shenja, Minister of Health Azir Aliu addressed the concerns surrounding congestion at the clinical center. Minister Aliu stated that the ministry has been actively working to resolve the issue and has implemented alternative solutions in the interim.

He confirmed that early in his tenure, a contract was established with a private institution specifically to provide temporary parking for staff members. According to the Minister, as of his statement, 350 employees are utilizing this private facility. The Minister emphasized that these measures are intended to manage the immediate logistical strain on the premises.

He noted that the current arrangements accommodate staff parking, separate from the needs of the general public. The ongoing challenge remains ensuring adequate and accessible parking for patients who frequent the center. The ministry has indicated that the long-term solution involves the construction of the new lots, while the immediate focus remains on maintaining operational flow within the clinical center despite the existing capacity constraints.
