PDK blocks the government’s entry again; deputies join the Alliance and the deputies of Vushtrri

Deputies of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) continued their protest actions on Thursday by blocking access to the Government of Kosovo. The protest was organized in response to what the party cited as the failure to schedule the continuation of the Parliament’s constitutional session. The action saw participation from deputies representing the Alliance, alongside PDK assemblymen from the Municipality of Vushtrri.

The PDK has maintained a sustained protest presence outside the Government building over several days. Their primary demands center on securing the call for the continuation of the constitutional session and unblocking the process of constituting the Parliament. The Democratic Party of Kosovo has repeatedly addressed the chairman of the constitutional session, Avni Dehari, urging him to convene the necessary continuation of the session.

The ongoing demonstration by the deputies highlights significant political disagreements regarding the parliamentary procedure. The continued blockage of the government facilities underscores the intensity of the dispute between the PDK and other political stakeholders regarding the timeline and mechanics of the constitutional proceedings.
