The police authorities in Strumica have filed a criminal complaint against an individual identified as V.K., aged 41, concerning allegations of endangering the general danger and committing serious acts against public security. The complaint relates to incidents that occurred in Strumica on two consecutive nights. Specifically, on July 25, 2026, at approximately 10:00 PM, and again on July 26, 2026, around 1:00 AM, the accused is alleged to have intentionally set fires.
The targets of these incendiary acts included a commercial tractor, registered to Zh.D. (70) of Strumica, and a passenger vehicle model Kia, owned by K.T. of Strumica.
Firefighters from the Territorial Unit of Firefighters of Strumica responded to the scenes, successfully extinguishing the fires. Authorities confirmed that, despite the severity of the incidents, there were no reported injuries. Following the discovery of the damage, V.K.
was taken into custody and detained at the Strumica Police Station. The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office formally notified the public prosecutor regarding the events. Subsequently, the individual was brought before the judge of the Basic Court to face the charges.
The filing of this criminal complaint marks the beginning of the formal judicial process to determine accountability for the property damage sustained within the community of Strumica.
