The current release package comprises a total of 41 items, which include more than a dozen videos, three associated images, and a series of detailed PDF documents. These records span a significant period, with the oldest document dating back to 1953 and the most recent materials originating from the current year. Previously, the U.S.
Department of Defense had uploaded an initial segment of 161 files to its official website on May 8, stating that further materials would follow. This ongoing transparency effort follows earlier calls for the declassification of such records. Specifically, the process aligns with previous advocacy from President Donald Trump, who had called for the release of these documents through an executive order earlier this year.
