The Kosovo Police have initiated an investigation concerning the alleged criminal act of “Legalization of False Content,” following the discovery of various documents in the possession of an individual at the Dheu i Bardhë Border Crossing Point. According to the police’s 24-hour report, the incident took place on April 27, 2026, at approximately 1:15 PM. The discovery occurred during a routine vehicle inspection involving a Kosovar citizen driving into the Republic of Kosovo.
During the inspection, officers recovered a collection of materials belonging to multiple individuals. The seized documents included birth certificates, citizenship certificates, and marriage certificates that had reportedly been issued by Serbian authorities. Additionally, the police found copies of Kosovo Republic identification cards alongside several Serbian court rulings.
The suspect was subsequently interviewed by the authorities regarding the nature and origin of these materials. The investigation focuses on the potential misuse or illegal processing of these various official papers.
