A law enforcement operation codenamed “Anchor” concluded in Durrës, Albania, targeting suspected international drug trafficking routes originating from Canada. The action resulted in the arrest of three Kosovo nationals. During the raid, authorities seized 127 packages containing approximately 80 kilograms of cannabis, identified as “Gelato” strain with high THC content.
According to police reports, the market value of the confiscated narcotics is estimated at around one million euros. In addition to the drugs, investigators recovered substantial amounts of other items, including three vehicles, five mobile phones, and approximately 11,000 euros in cash. The initial investigation suggests that the cannabis was originally secured in Ontario, Canada, and subsequently transported to Albania, concealed within a modified compartment of a vehicle.
