Officials from the Regional Investigations Sector in North Mitrovica, working in coordination with the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption in Prizren, acted on new information regarding an individual. The report indicated that a person with the initials A.A., born in 1997, residing in Leposaviq, allegedly possesses illegal weaponry. Following the receipt of this intelligence, police units conducted searches at multiple sites.
The operations covered two locations within the municipality of Leposaviq and one separate location in the municipality of Vushtrri. During these checks, authorities successfully seized several items. The recovered materials included two smoke grenades, a gas pistol accompanied by a magazine, and a fully loaded magazine containing 30 rounds.
Additionally, investigators found an AK-47 long gun and a flag bearing the inscription “Kosovo is Serbia.”
The coordinated effort between the investigative sectors allowed authorities to secure these items, which are currently under investigation. The operation highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to address and secure illegal weaponry within the region. The findings were reported following the comprehensive sweep of the specified areas in Leposaviq and Vushtrri.
