The Municipality of SPB has established a new specialized unit to bolster crime prevention and response efforts. Effective April 7, 2026, the Departments for Crime Prevention and Rescue, alongside the Special Operations Team “Tigri,” are operating in conjunction with the Public Prosecutor’s Office. This coordinated initiative represents a strengthened approach to public safety within the municipality.
The Crime Prevention Department will focus on proactive measures aimed at deterring criminal activity and identifying potential risks. Simultaneously, the Rescue Department will be dedicated to providing immediate assistance and support during emergencies and critical incidents. The Special Operations Team “Tigri,” a previously existing unit, will continue its role in specialized operations, working closely with the other departments.
This collaboration ensures a seamless and efficient response to a wide range of situations. The formation of these departments and the established partnership with the Public Prosecutor’s Office underscores a commitment to enhanced security and effective law enforcement within the SPB Municipality. The teams will operate under the direction and oversight of the Prosecutor’s Office, ensuring adherence to legal protocols and maintaining accountability.
