Polish notary Bartłomiej Kubkowski has achieved a notable feat by becoming the first person to notarize across the Baltic Sea between Sweden and Poland. The journey covered a distance exceeding 160 kilometers (99 miles). Kubkowski successfully reached the beach in Dziwnów, on the northern coast of Poland, on Sunday evening, approximately 56 hours after his departure from Karlskebo in Sweden on Friday.
This crossing represents a personal milestone for Kubkowski, as it was his fifth attempt to complete this specific itinerary. His efforts throughout the year have generated significant funds, raising over 715,000 PLN (equivalent to 166,000 euros) designated for the treatment of children battling cancer, and donations continue to be received. During the arduous crossing, Kubkowski remained awake throughout the duration of the journey.
He was accompanied by a support boat throughout the venture. This achievement highlights a significant personal endurance effort while simultaneously raising substantial awareness and financial support for pediatric cancer care. The successful notarization across the Baltic Sea solidifies his place in records for this unique trans-national crossing between Sweden and Poland.
