QKMF at the Elysium Hall: From April 13th, we have 90 cases of vomiting and diarrhea – three people were sent to the Infectious Clinic

Approximately 90 individuals presented at the Central Family Medicine Center (QKMF) in Han i Elezi exhibiting symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea. Health authorities are currently investigating whether these reported cases are linked to food consumed at local gastronomic establishments. Haziri Bashkim, the officer serving as the director of the QKMF in Han i Elezi, informed Telegrafi that the incidence of these symptoms began appearing on the afternoon of April 13.

He stated that there have been over 80 reported cases of vomiting and diarrhea in Han i Elezi. The Director of Health clarified that not all reported instances are attributed to food poisoning. According to the Director, during the process of taking patient histories, some individuals reported consuming food at a fast-food restaurant and a pizzeria.

These patients presented in the afternoon with symptoms, including vomiting and diarrhea. Bashkim noted that based on the questioning regarding patient history, the source of the illness was traced back to their meals. The investigation continues to determine the precise link between the clusters of cases and specific food sources.
