These advanced monitoring systems will be strategically installed across several geographically critical areas throughout the country. The network will operate under continuous, 24-hour surveillance managed by the QMK Operational Center.
The expansion aims to significantly enhance coverage across vital forest regions nationwide, with the current network slated to grow to approximately 50 cameras. According to Muhamed Ali, Director of QMK, the primary objective of this initiative is to ensure the timely identification of developing fires. This early warning capability is crucial as it facilitates a faster deployment of competent emergency services and allows for more effective coordination during on-site intervention efforts.
The deployed technology includes 360-degree rotating cameras, which provide continuous visual monitoring of the monitored zones. By integrating these smart cameras into the national response infrastructure, the QMK seeks to bolster preventative measures against wildfires. This upgraded surveillance capability represents a major enhancement in disaster preparedness, allowing authorities to react proactively rather than reactively when managing risks in critical ecological zones.
