A minor incident involving a person sustained minor burns following a fire that erupted yesterday between the villages of Dolani and Luboten within the municipality of Shtip. According to the Crisis Management Center (qmk), the injured individual received necessary medical assistance, and authorities have confirmed there are no reports of other injuries. Initial containment efforts involved moving protective barriers using tractors from the side toward Dolani, which successfully prevented the blaze from spreading into residential structures.
However, the qmk reported that the fire remains active and is currently spreading in the direction of Luboten. The flames are affecting dry grass, low-lying vegetation, and scrub forest areas. A multi-agency response is underway to manage and contain the incident.
Personnel involved in the effort include firefighters from the Shtip Fire Department, specialized machinery provided by NP “Stipion,” several tractors, police officers, and emergency medical teams. Authorities are coordinating these resources to limit the spread of the fire. The continuous monitoring and deployment of these resources are aimed at bringing the blaze under control and protecting adjacent communities.
