Rama announces the opening of the Special Forces school: They will be trained by Israel

During the opening ceremony of the National Flying School, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the forthcoming establishment of a National Special Forces School. Rama stated that the training curriculum for this specialized institution will be provided in collaboration with Israel. He confirmed that discussions are underway with Israeli partners to incorporate what he described as global excellence in the training, education, and certification of special forces.

Furthermore, the National Special Forces School is intended to serve a broader regional purpose. Rama indicated that the facility will accept cadets from allied nations within the region, with Kosovo slated to be among the initial participants. Addressing the dual development of these defense capabilities, Rama articulated a strategic vision.

He expressed the ambition for both the new Flying School and the Special Forces School to evolve into regional centers of excellence, extending their influence beyond national borders. The opening of the Flying School itself underscores a commitment to enhancing national defense capabilities, particularly in areas supporting NATO and Kosovo pilots. The announcement signals a concerted effort to build advanced defense infrastructure.

The planned Special Forces School represents a significant investment in high-level military training, aiming to establish a regional hub for specialized military education and operational readiness.
